General Notice

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the data protection regulations of the federal government (Data Protection Act, DSG), every person has the right to privacy and protection from misuse of their personal data. The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations as well as this privacy policy.

In cooperation with our hosting providers, we strive to protect our databases as best as possible from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or falsification.

Please note that data transmission over the Internet (e.g., communication via email) can have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

By using this website, you agree to the collection, processing, and use of data in accordance with the following description. This website can generally be visited without registration. During this process, data such as pages accessed or names of retrieved files, date, and time may be stored on the server for statistical purposes without these data being directly related to you personally. Personal data, such as name, address, or email address, are collected on a voluntary basis wherever possible. No data will be passed on to third parties without your consent.

Processing of Personal Data

Personal data refers to any information that relates to an identified or identifiable person. The data subject is a person whose personal data are processed. Processing includes any handling of personal data, regardless of the methods or procedures applied—particularly the collection, storage, disclosure, alteration, deletion, or use of personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law. Additionally, where the EU GDPR applies, we process personal data according to the following legal bases as set out in Article 6(1) GDPR:

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – The data subject has given consent to the processing of their personal data for one or more specific purposes.

  • Contract performance and pre-contractual inquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) – Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party or to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.

  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) – Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject.

  • Protection of vital interests (Art. 6(1)(d) GDPR) – Processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person.

  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – Processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.

  • Job applications (Art. 9(2)(b) GDPR) – Special categories of data (e.g., health or ethnic origin) may be processed if necessary for employment law, social security, or protection obligations, or with explicit consent.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose(s) for which they are processed. Where legal or regulatory retention obligations exist, we restrict processing accordingly.

Legal Bases

According to Article 13 GDPR, we inform you of the legal bases for our data processing. If not otherwise stated in this privacy policy:

  • Consent: Art. 6(1)(a), Art. 7 GDPR

  • Contractual performance: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR

  • Legal obligation: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR

  • Legitimate interests: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR

  • Vital interests: Art. 6(1)(d) GDPR

Security Measures

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with legal requirements, taking into account the state of the art, implementation costs, and the nature, scope, and purposes of processing, to ensure an adequate level of protection.

These measures include ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data through control of both physical and electronic access, as well as access authorization, data input, transfer, and storage. We have also implemented procedures to ensure data subject rights, data deletion, and response to potential data breaches. Furthermore, we integrate data protection considerations into the design of systems and services (“privacy by design” and “privacy by default”).

Transfer of Personal Data

In the course of processing personal data, it may occur that data are transmitted to other entities, companies, or individuals. This includes, for example, IT service providers or content providers integrated into the website. In such cases, we comply with legal requirements and conclude data protection agreements with such recipients.

Data Processing in Third Countries

If data are processed in a third country (i.e., outside the EU or EEA) or transferred to such entities, it will only occur in compliance with legal provisions — for instance, with recognized adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, certifications, or binding corporate rules (Art. 44–49 GDPR).
